Clean-Air Aust is now able to offer Aeroseal Duct Sealing to its customers.  This is a patented breakthrough technology that tackles leaks from the inside.

Clean-Air Aust has often been asked to investigate and photograph issues with leakage in ducts and risers.  Now we have the ability to provide a solution as well. Aeroseal can seal leaks up 15mm without having access the duct or pinpoint the leaks.  The service can be carried out overnight with minimal disruption to tenants.

Aeroseal can reduce leaks by up to 90% improving energy efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality.

New Australian Standards

Posted by on 25 September 2013 | 1 Comments

There are 2 new Australian Standards which will affect the HVAC Industry.

AS 4254.1 -2012 Flexible Duct and AS 4254.2-2012 Rigid Duct were released in October 2012.  They have now been included in BCA 2013 which makes their requirements legally binding.  Clause 2.2.4 of AS 4254.2-2012 requires leak testing of ductwork to 1.25 times operating pressure on systems over 3000L/s.

While large projects especially those with Greenstar ratings have been leak tested previously there has been very little leak testing of the majority of systems.  The most contentious issue is how to seal the leaks if the duct fails the test.

Clean Air has been involved with many existing buildings where substantial leaks have been found in ducting especially risers which are very difficult to access and seal.

If you have any systems which have failed a leak test or you are suspicious that you may have excessive leaks in ducting please contact Clean Air to discuss a possible solution.

Clean Air displays at AIRAH Trade Night Brisbane

Posted by on 7 August 2013 | 0 Comments

Over 300 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors, Engineers and Tradesmen attended the AIRAH Trade Night on 11/7/2013. It was held at the Brisbane Racing Club Ascot. Clean Air was extremely happy with the response we received with a display of our services and the specialty tools that we use. Many long term and experienced HVAC people were unaware of the cleaning tools that we use. This included the specially developed “Duct Spider” which we use to apply Anti-Microbial coatings to the interior surfaces of ducts, deep inside a building’s HVAC system. To celebrate the Trade Night and the release of our new website we are offering a prize of a PC Tablet.
